Community of Practice - Maths
Dread teaching Math? It’s a confidence thing…
Perhaps, you’ve been living under the mistaken belief that the following myths are true:
|Maths requires a good memory.||There is a "best" or "correct" way to complete math problems.||You have to have a "mathematical mind" to understand math.|
This group is not a maths workshop. Instead, it aims to help teachers of senior classes (3rd to 6th) to overcome their psychological barriers to teaching maths. When it comes to teaching maths, confidence is critical. In a supportive environment participants will expand their professional knowledge base by engaging with others experiencing similar struggles and together sharing their invaluable insights into teaching.
Wednesday 8th February, 4 - 6pm - Mental Maths with Problem Solving
Monday 6th March 4 - 6pm - Fractions with Problem Solving
